Surgical Associates’ surgeons
are pioneers in the application of advanced techniques in minimally
invasive surgery and have made Grinnell Regional Medical Center
a center of excellence in the field of advanced laparoscopy,
teaching and precepting surgeons across the Midwest and publishing
important research, particularly on the management of patients
with reflux disease. The Grinnell Institute for Minimally Invasive
Surgery was created in the mid-1990’s to encourage research,
publication, and development of new techniques in this highly
specialized field.
