Stephen M. Sundberg, M.D.

joined Surgical Associates in May 2006 as a general surgeon. Sundberg moved his practice to Grinnell from Boone, Iowa where he practiced for 25 years. Sundberg is a general surgeon experienced in a remarkably broad range of procedures.

The Hennepin Community Medical Center where Dr. Sundberg trained is known for turning out talented, widely educated surgeons. He provides expert care for trauma, gynecologic, vascular, and all abdominal surgeries.

He has extensive experience with laparoscopic bariatric surgery, as well. Dr. Sundberg’s ties to Iowa are strong, having grown up in Madrid, attended the University of Iowa and received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College Of Medicine.
