Stephen M. Sundberg, M.D.

Dr. Sundberg joined Surgical Associates in May 2006, moving his practice to Grinnell from Boone, IA where he practiced for 25 years.Sundberg is a general surgeon experienced in a remarkably broad range of procedures. His strongest area of interest is in bariatric surgery for the morbidly obese, a specialty to which he is extraordinarily dedicated.

The Hennepin Community Medical Center where Dr. Sundberg trained is known for turning out talented, widely educated surgeons. He provides expert care for trauma, gynecologic, vascular, and all abdominal surgeries.

Dr. Sundberg’s grew up in Madrid, IA, attended the University of Iowa and received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College Of Medicine.
